Karl and Cathy Sieling of Newtown brought Candlewood Lake Marine Towing & Salvage to the area to help the stranded boaters that are out enjoying their boats on Candlewood Lake and Lake Zoar. Captain Karl and his crew are certified and trained, ready to assist boaters with towing, prop disentanglement, jump starts, or even fuel drop-offs. Their towing service works like AAA but helps disabled vessels on the water instead of on the road.

The Sielings grew up in Newtown and raised their family here. Captain, Karl Sieling has been very active in the community for years. He is a member of the Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue, a former Boat Handler for the Lake Zoar Authority and past Chief for the Lake Housatonic Marine Patrol. Captain Karl is also a former Newtown Police Officer.
